A press conference was held Monday by the Delaware State Housing Authority where it was announced that NCALL, along with six other projects statewide, will receive $3.2 million from Delaware’s Strong Neighborhoods Housing Fund to address neighborhood blight. Of that total, NCALL will receive a grant of $500,000. Governor John Carney, Dover Mayor Robin Christiansen, and NCALL’s Executive Director, Karen Speakman spoke at the event. “We are very grateful; this grant will enable Central Delaware Habitat for Humanity and NCALL to build ten new homes in downtown Dover,” Karen said. “It will bring further improvement to the community and have a positive impact on many families.”
